Factory extends rainwater harvesting capacity with WISY technology

Posted by Use-Rainwater Admin on

Saradox factory in Durban South extended and increased the capacity of their rainwater system. Two new, inline WISY primary filters were installed in the 110mm gutter down-pipes. These units filter out any debris in the water before it is transferred to 20 000 liters  of rainwater tanks.

The factory has increased the rainwater storage capacity to to 80 000 liters of rainwater. 50mm of rain now allows the factory to recover approximately 75000 liters of rainwater. All the rainwater is purified though a 5 stage filtration system and then used as process water in the factory. This extended rainwater harvesting system further protects their business against ongoing water supply interruptions, and also reduces their business’ environmental impact while delivering significant operational savings.
